In my last post I highlighted a flag than might make a nice mother’s day present (especially as it says Happy Mothers Day on it).

The alternative is to just buy your Mom a great Elvis gift rather than trying to find something specifically related to Mothers Day.

One of the nicest little items I’ve seen recently is this Elvis Key Chain. it would work really nicely as a mothers day gift.

It’s plated in 24K gold, with hand-set sparkling Swarovski crystals. There are three Elvis charms attached: a sparkly guitar, a “Taking Care of Business” logo and an image of Elvis from his “Aloha from Hawaii” performance.

Personally, I really like this piece. Quite sparkly and bright – but not too gaudy. I’d be proud to give it to my mom.

Mother’s Day is on May 9th (in the US at least).

And here’s the challenge.

What do you get an Elvis fan for Mother’s Day?

It’s not as easy as you might think. Are posters or clothing or other memorabilia really suitable? Probably not.

For a mother’s day gift you need something that actually says happy mother’s day – or thanks them for being your mother. You need more than just a normal gift.

Well, into the breach steps this Elvis Mother’s Day Flag.

It depicts Elvis in one of his signature jumpsuits – complete with the text “Happy Mother’s Day”.

OK, it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea. But if your mom’s an Elvis fan, I can’t think of anything better to give her that shows you care on May 9th.

I found this while browsing Allposters.com. I’m still trying to search out the provenance and figure out when and where it was taken. It’s obviously the 50s sometime, but I haven’t quite figured out the details yet.

Nonetheless, it’s a great poster. Really captures the power and passion of Elvis in action in his prime.

Charm bracelets are the “in thing” at the moment. Whether it’s Tiffany, Thomas Sabo, Pandora or Charmworks.

But what better gift for a fashion conscious Elvis fan than an Elvis Presley Charm bracelet?

You can’t help but love this bracelet. Yes, it’s gaudy. But just look at it. it just makes you smile.

This is a rather nice reversible Elvis pendant necklace. It’s in the shape of a guitar, with a color portrait of Elvis on one side surrounded by crystals, and Elvis’ signature in raised script on the reverse.

It’s handcrafted in solid sterling silver with rich 24K-gold plating. Each side of the pendant has Swarovski crystals that really pick up the light and make it shine.

Personally, I have a slight preference for the reverse side with the signature. But both sides look great, and being reversible means you can mix and match it with various different outfits.

If you were only going to buy one Elvis poster in your life, this would have to be it.

It’s the classic Andy Warhol “Double Elvis” poster from his “Silver Elvis” series.

Warhol produced the series of pictures in 1963 based on images from the 1960 film Flaming Star. He printed the portrait 28 times in black paint, and then rolled it onto a metallic silver background using various combinations. He produced a variety of single, double, and triple superimposed pictures. The double is my personal favourite.

This version is real top-of-the-range. It’s made via a Giclee printing process which delivers a fine stream of ink resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display. This print is produced on a 300 gsm, acid-free and cotton-textured watercolor paper.

Sure, it’s expensive. You can get the same picture in much cheaper versions.

But if you want something that looks as good as an art gallery version – this should be your choice.

This is the kind of gift I’d like for my birthday!

What we have here is 3 nicely designed 12oz pilsner glasses – each with an Elvis image, 22K gold rim and facsimile gold signature.

Each glass features a unique image – Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock and It’s Now or Never,

This set is the first in a four part series, each featuring different images. The final set will ship with a wooden shelf to house them.

Well, they say there’s no accounting for taste – but for me, this is an abomination.

It just looks and feels like cheap attempt to cash in on Elvis.

Apparently they’re “handcrafted of artist’s resin and skilfully hand-painted”. And “strong demand is expected…you won’t want to miss out”.

Maybe I’m being a bit snooty, but I’ll pass on this one.

Here’s an unusual gift that’s perfect for an Elvis fan.

It’s a 1000 piece jigsaw featuring Elvis in the jail house rock outfit with other Elvis memorabilia (pictures, album covers, etc.) in the background.

It’s the kind of thing that most Presley fans won’t already have – so it would make a great birthday present. And as well as providing hours of entertainment, the finished jigsaw could be framed and used as a picture.

I really like this. The collage works well and it’s the kind of thing I’d genuinely be more than happy to have on my wall.

There are 17 charms, featuring Swarovski crystal. They include Elvis lettering, hanging charms, symbolic charms and messages.

This is another example of a nice, subtle item that would make a great gift.
